Chrissy is an experienced sports and musculoskeletal physiotherapist working in sport for 20 years. She is a physio for the ParaMatildas and within soccer’s National Premier League. Previous experience has been working within Australian Waterpolo, AFLW, VFL, and hockey Victoria. Her interests are in shoulder injuries, particularly in throwers, lower limb injuries in ball sports, and running related injuries.
Chrissy has completed additional training in women’s health across the lifespan including perimenopause, and pre and post pregnancy. Chrissy runs a workshop through schools and sporting clubs called Game Bloom: educating adolescent girls about sporting performance in puberty. Chrissy sits on the Womensport & Recreation Tasmania Board and volunteers for the Tasmanian Sports Medicine Australia branch.
A keen runner, a newbie to club hockey, and a forever love of all things futsal/soccer, it’s hard for her to find a sport she doesn’t enjoy doing. Perhaps surfing in winter. Chrissy is a mum of 2 and wishes there were more hours in the day.
Nick comes to HPC with over 14 years of experience in private practice clinical physiotherapy. He has worked across a wide variety of populations including adolescent and elite development pathway sport, osteoarthritis management and workplace health.
Nick has an interest in the lower limb, particularly foot and ankle physiotherapy. Nick enjoys working with trail runners from both an injury treatment and load management perspective.
He has a passion for this as a trail runner himself, involved in the Hobart trail running community.
In his free time you are most likely to find Nick running or hiking in the Tasmanian wilderness and ensuring his playful cats Wesley and Otto are not up to too much mischief.
